Touch screen test
Drag across the grid. Squares that stay empty are areas your screen did not register.
Drag your finger slowly across the whole area. Cells fill in as they respond — any square left empty is a region that did not register.
Before you assume the screen is broken
Take the screen protector off and test again. A protector with dust or an air bubble underneath produces exactly the symptom people bring here, and it is far more common than a failed digitiser. If the dead zone follows a straight line or sits along one edge, that points to a ribbon connection rather than the glass.

How do I test my touch screen?
Drag one finger slowly across the whole grid so that every square fills in. Any square still empty at the end is an area that did not register your touch.
Part of my screen does not respond. What causes it?
A screen protector with trapped air or dirt underneath is the most common cause, followed by a loose digitiser ribbon after a drop, and water damage. Remove any protector and clean the screen before concluding the hardware has failed.
How do I test multi-touch?
Place several fingers on the grid at once. The touch points reading shows how many the screen currently sees, and max at once records the highest number reached during the test.
Why does the pressure reading say n/a?
Most screens do not report pressure at all, and browsers substitute a fixed value when they cannot measure it. It is not a fault, just a capability your hardware does not expose.
Can I test the very edges of my screen?
Use the full screen button. The edges are exactly where digitiser faults tend to appear, and they cannot be reached while the test sits inside a page.
